7 Symptoms You’re Having a Migraine Pain

Migraines are pulsating headaches that usually occur on one side of the head. Manual activity may further increase the pain, however, symptoms can differ from person to person and from one experience to the next.  Mentioned below are 7 simple ways to identify a migraine pain:

1.     Depression, Irritation, or Excitement

Changes in one’s mood can be an indication of migraine pain. According to statistics of the American Academy of Neurology, moderate or severe depression significantly increases the horrible risks of episodic migraines become chronic medical condition. Therefore, it is essential to see your doctor when you or someone you love experience pain in its head or any part of it and get early treatment to avoid any sort of long term consequences.

2.     Lack of Sleep

Waking up tired or experiencing trouble falling asleep are frequent issues in patients of migraine pain. Studies have presented a subtle relationship between lack of required sleep and the intensity and frequency of migraines. When migraine happens, it’s tough to get a sweet night’s sleep. Many people can have insomnia as a result of their migraine. Furthermore, research suggests that lack of sleep can also cause migraines.

3.     Watery Eyes or Stuffy Nose

Some patients of migraine experience sinus symptoms, like stuffy nose, droopy eyelids, clear nasal drainage, or tearing. One large study funded by GlaxoSmithKline found that, among patients who complained of sinus headaches, approx. 90% were having migraines.

4.     Cravings

Some people crave certain foods such as chocolate before a migraine attack happens.

5.     Neck Pain

Many people experience stiffness in their neck and later a headache which is often an early stage of the migraine pain. According to the statistics of a survey conducted by the National Headache Foundation, 38% migraine patients always have neck pain and 31% frequently experienced neck pain during migraine headaches.

6.     Frequent Urination

If you have to frequently go for urination, it can mean a migraine attack is about to occur. It is one of the many symptoms that people often experience as a warning sign just before a migraine.
